The heroes on 6th of Oktober
Last saturday we made it to the Kick-off event. Pretty interesting to see all the teams and people walk around. It didn't take long before we met some of our group 4 members, the pink badges really suited our "runawaybrides-pink-shirts"!
The weather was lovely, so we kind of got into the african hot weather spirit. Funny to see our tiny car compared to all the big trucks around us, but although our car is small, it's the best of them all! Well... almost! ;-)
Great fun driving around through the puddles and the sand, but it's a shame our gearbox gave way after some rough clutch handeling. We were towed out back to the audience and we thought that this was it: we had to be towed back to Amsterdam... But it didnt take long before our heroes from team RSH showed up. After a quick look at the engine we soon figured out what was wrong, and 2 tie-rips later our car was running again! Our heroes! We didn't get to say thank you, because like super-heroe, they disappeared into the crowds. Thanks RSH! We'll see you at the pre-reunion!
The car is now safe and sound in Den Helder and won't be driving till it's properly fixed, hopefully that won't be long!
